Hero video brings aquaculture challenges to life with AI

Aquaculture is a complex industry. It combines engineering, biology, harsh environments and constant operational pressure. Behind every system are people who solve problems every day to keep production running.

The challenge

For a trade fair campaign, our client wanted a hero video that would capture this reality — the challenges of the sector, the environment, and especially the people working in it. There was only one obstacle: filming on location was not possible. Instead of scaling back the story, we chose a different route. We used AI.

Expertise that connects Our approach

For a trade fair campaign, Living Stone developed a hero video that makes the challenges and reality of the aquaculture sector tangible.

From technical message to human story

Industrial marketing often focuses on technology. But in sectors like aquaculture, technology only makes sense when you understand the context in which it operates.

Our goal was therefore not to explain a product, but to create a credible industry narrative.

A story about:

  • remote and demanding environments
  • engineers solving problems in real time
  • the human dimension behind complex systems

To make that story tangible, we needed a visual world that felt authentic to industry professionals.

Recreating an aquaculture environment with AI

Since filming at an actual aquaculture site was not possible, we recreated the environment using generative AI.

The video combines:

  • AI-generated environments
  • realistic industrial scenes
  • narrative storytelling focused on people

The result is a hero film that feels like it was shot on location in Northern Europe.

Interestingly, several engineers who saw the video were convinced it had been filmed at a real aquaculture site in Norway.

That reaction confirmed what mattered most: the story felt authentic to the audience.

A new tool for industrial marketing

AI video is often discussed in terms of technology. But its real value in B2B marketing lies elsewhere.

It allows companies to:

  • visualize environments that are difficult to film
  • create compelling industry narratives faster
  • support campaigns and trade fairs with high-impact content

For industrial sectors where access, logistics or safety make filming difficult, AI can open new possibilities for storytelling.

Not as a replacement for reality — but as a powerful way to communicate it.

Supporting both trade fair and digital campaign

The video was developed as a hero asset for both:

  • a trade fair presence
  • an online campaign

In both contexts, the goal was the same: capture attention quickly and bring the reality of the industry to life. Because when complex industries become visible, their stories become easier to understand.
